LINCOLN, NE — #2 Omaha Roncalli held #6 Beatrice to just two points in the third quarter and defeated the defending Class B champions 53-29 on Wednesday afternoon.

The victory puts the Crimson Pride in the state championship game on Friday against #1 Omaha Skutt. It is Roncalli’s third appearance in the state title game in the last four seasons.

The teams traded buckets in the first half, with Roncalli taking a 19-16 lead to the locker rooms. Then, the Crimson Pride picked up their defense and limited the Orangemen to only two made free throws in the third quarter. They closed the game by hitting 12 free throws of their own in the fourth quarter to complete the win.
