Amid various and uncertain reports that Russia is slowly backing away from the Ukrainian border, Omaha Congressman Don Bacon warns that if Russia invades, the fall-out and outcome are uncertain at best.

The retired one-star general isn’t happy with the White House’s handling of the situation in Ukraine and the Republican lawmaker says all involved should be expecting the unexpected.

According to Bacon: "As a person who studied ward for most of my life, even as a teenager, there's the unanticipated. Folks who start wars, you never know what unexpected things will occur. And so this I know. I'm just very concerned with what the future could be here. Ukraine is a country of 40 million they have a pretty good military in their own right. They're clearly outmatched by the Russians But unexpected things could happen here and and this could snowball into something much worse.'

Bacon, who spent 30 years in the military, argues that President Biden is more talk than action.

Bacon believes the U.S. should be arming the Ukrainians with, among other things, more anti-tank and anti-aircraft firepower.
