LINCOLN - Lincoln Southwest followed up Friday's big win over Pius X with a 59-53 victory over Grand Island.

A technical foul on Grand Island Jerimiah Slough resulted in an 11-point half time lead for Lincoln Southwest, but the Islanders quickly cut that to just a few possessions. Virginia commit Isaac Traudt dropped 20, including multiple triples in the second half.

However, LSW junior Rylan Smith was even better, scoring a career high 23 points for the second straight night, and icing it with clutch late free throws.

LSW is now 8-2 on the year, while Grand Island falls to 2-7.
