Arrest made in connection to May shooting in Kearney

Police in central Nebraska have charged a teenager after a months-long shooting investigation.

KEARNEY, Neb. -- Police in central Nebraska have charged a teenager after a months-long shooting investigation. 

Kearney Police say the shooting happened back in May. 

A 20-year-old was injured with a non-life threatening gunshot wound after an alleged fight involving multiple people. 

Police were unable to find the suspect the night of the shooting. 

After months of investigation, Kearney Police issued an arrest warrant for, 18-year-old, Gino Liban for first-degree assault and a weapon charge. 

He was arrested last month. 

His bond has been set for $250,000.
