BEATRICE – Officers from the Gage County Sheriff’s Office and Beatrice Police have arrested a suspect on eight counts, after serving a search warrant early Wednesday.  The search took place at around 8:45 a.m., in the eleven-hundred block of Bell Street.   Authorities were looking for Jeremy Doss, who had an active felony arrest warrant from Lancaster County.

The search involved illegal drugs and a firearm authorities believed Doss had in his possession.   During the search, law officers located Doss in the living room and he was taken into custody.

Sheriffs and Police officers found Doss to be in possession of a glass pipe with suspected meth residue, a knife with a five-inch blade on his belt, a backpack that contained a silver handgun found to be a CO-two powered pistol…another knife with a four-inch blade and a small amount of suspected marijuana.

Law officers said Doss is a convicted felon in the state of Kansas and cannot possess knives with a blade length of more than three-and-a-half inches.

Doss was arrested on two counts of possessing drugs, two counts of possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, two counts of weapon possession during commission of a felony, a charge of carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities also cited three other people who were in the residence, on drug violations.
