Alexandria man arrested on four counts of drug charges

An Alexandria man is behind bars after authorities say they found drugs in his house.

ALEXANDRIA, NE — An Alexandria man is behind bars after authorities say they found drugs in his house.

The Thayer County Sheriff’s Office says 37-year-old Preston Gilliam was arrested at his home on Tuesday. Deputies served a search warrant at his house and discovered meth and marijuana.

Gilliam is charged with distribution of meth, possession of meth, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. As of Wednesday, he was lodged at the Thayer County Jail. His bond was set at 10 percent of $100,000.
