(Peru, Neb.) – Shane McInerney (Galway, Ireland) was voted Heart of America Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance in the win at home over MidAmerica Nazarene University on Saturday, Sept. 25.
 
McInerney made field goals of 30 and of 40 yards. McInerney also connected on his lone PAT to go perfect on his kicks for the day to help the Bobcats win 21-14.

In addition, McInerney had one punt which went for 63 yards.
 
On the year McInerney has made six for six on field goals and has been perfect on extra points going 14 of 14.
 
This was McInerney's first honor of the year. In addition, he is Peru State's first conference weekly winner for 2021.
 
With the conference honor, McInerney is now eligible for the weekly NAIA recognition.
