MAYWOOD, Neb. – A Saturday incident ended with a Wellfleet woman behind bars.

The Frontier County Sheriff’s Office says a Maywood business called to report woman who had allegedly displayed a gun after a clerk refused to sell the woman beer.

The woman reportedly left the business and was spotted in a vehicle on Highway 23 between Curtis and Maywood.

The Nebraska State Patrol assisted the sheriff’s office in conducting what authorities described as a high risk stop. The driver of the vehicle was released, as he was determined to be uninvolved with the incident.

39-year-old Dixie Kaiser, however, was taken into custody on suspicion of felony terroristic threats.

Kaiser was taken to Dawson County Jail before being transferred to Seward County. Her bond was set at 10% of $150,000. Authorities say more charges could be added as the investigation continues.
