OMAHA, Neb. -- Another stormy night left some eastern Nebraskans in the dark.

A wave of severe thunderstorms worked across eastern Nebraska overnight Tuesday, downing tree limbs and knocking out power to some.

There were multiple reports of trees down and power outages in the town of Yutan. There were also many reports of large tree limbs blown down near the towns of Gretna, Ralston and Murray.

A storm spotter in Douglas County reported a wind gust of 64 miles per hour.

Omaha Public Power District said over 6,000 residents were still without power at the beginning of Wednesday.
