Cozad grass fire contained, 80 acres burned

COZAD, Neb. -- Crews knocked out a grass fire in central Nebraska. 

Cozad Fire and Rescue were called to the scene along the Platte River, Tuesday afternoon. 

Officials say their quick response allowed them to get things knocked out. 

In all about 80 acres burned. The area may smolder for a few days due to the downed and dead trees.
