City of Sidney goes dark due to power outage

A city-wide power outage struck Sidney at 8:35 p.m. Friday night.

SIDNEY - A city-wide power outage struck Sidney at 8:35 p.m. Friday night.

City Manager David Scott says crew members are investigating the issue and will update residents when the problem is resolved. 

City officials reported to the transformer site north of Sidney at 9 p.m.

No timeline was given on when power will be restored.
