(Peru, Neb.) – Peru State head volleyball coach Laurie Felderman recently announced that Tiana Cornist (Omaha, Neb.) signed her national letter of intent to join the Bobcat volleyball team.

Cornist, daughter of Amber and Cameron Cornist, is a senior at Ralston High School in Ralston.

She is a 5'8 middle hitter for the Rams. Not only was Cornist a three-time letterman, but is also a three-time academic all-conference honoree. In addition, she is a Ralston distinction honor roll student. Also, Cornist was recognized with the "best future teacher award."

Cornist plans on living up to that "best future teacher award" and pursuing an elementary education major at Peru State. In addition to her volleyball scholarship, she will be receiving a cooperating schools award.

Felderman noted, "Tiana is a humble player who works hard to be available for her setter in any situation.  We look forward to her future growth in our program and her dedication to academics in the classroom!"
