United Way of Western Nebraska picks up surprise donation from Panhandle Coop

Funds will go to Scotts Bluff and Dawes County service centers

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - United Way of Western Nebraska (UWWN) gets two surprise checks courtesy of Panhandle Coop. Panhandle Coop helps UWWN raise money.

UWWN staff said the money will help 29 programs between Scotts Bluff and Dawes counties that help meet basic needs for struggling families. Four thousand dollars will go to Scotts Bluff County and $1,000 dollars to Dawes County. Panhandle Coop does a lot to help the community.

“They are one of twenty seven pay setter businesses that help support United Way and raise money for United Way throughout the year, " said Steph Black Executive Director UWWN. “They always do some internal fundraising for us they allow their employees to do payroll deduction giving and do corporate donations.”
