Mega Millions, Powerball jackpots soar
Megamillions has seen its Friday jackpot climb to $750 million, while Powerball's Wednesday prize sits at $550 million.

The Mega Millions lottery jackpot has climbed to a whopping $750 million. It's the second largest jackpot in Mega Millions history.
It comes after no ticket matched all six numbers in Tuesday night's drawing. The lump sum cash payout is estimated at $550.6 million. The next drawing will be held Friday.
The largest Mega Millions jackpot on record was $1.537 -- won in South Carolina in October of 2018.
According to Mega Millions, it was the world's largest lottery prize awarded on a single ticket.
Powerball's current jackpot is nothing to sneeze at, either. Its jackpot currently stands at $550 million, with an estimated cash payout of $411.4 million. Powerball holds the record for largest jackpot in American history - $1.586 billion - which was shared among three winners in 2016.
The next Powerball drawing is tonight.
