Peru State Baseball Adds Outfielder for the Spring

Peru State Baseball announces transfer from Hibbing Community College.

(Peru, Neb.) – The Peru State baseball coaching staff recently announced that Victor Figueroa Vega joined the Bobcat team this fall and will play for the 'Cats this spring.

Figueroa, a 5-7 outfielder and pitcher, is from Caguas, Puerto Rico, will be a sophomore eligibility-wise at Peru State. He transferred to the College after playing one season at Hibbing Community College in Hibbing, Minn.
 
While at Hibbing, Figueroa played in 26 games and had 72 plate appearances and 58 at-bats. He had 20 hits and finished with a .345 hitting percentage while driving in nine and scoring 17 runs. Figueroa also stole ten bases. He finished with a .915 fielding percentage.
 
The son of Veronica Vega Flores is majoring in psychology at Peru State.
