BEATRICE – Newly-elected members of the Gage County Board of Supervisors were sworn into office, Thursday morning.  

Dennis Byars, Don Schuller and Emily Haxby all took the oath of office, given by Gage County District Judge Rick Schreiner in the Gage County Supervisors meeting room. 

Byars, of Beatrice was reelected without opposition to his Fourth District seat on the board.  Schuller, of rural Wymore defeated incumbent board member John Hill in the Primary, then bested write-in candidate Don Schuster to win the Sixth District race.

Haxby, of Clatonia defeated Monte Murkle in the General Election.   She becomes the new Second District supervisor, taking over for Matt Bauman of Pickrell, who opted not to seek reelection.
