Lincoln officers finish pizza delivery after arresting driver
39-year-old John Michael Brown was arrested while delivering a pizza Wednesday night.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A 39-year-old man was arrested while delivering a pizza Wednesday night. Lincoln Police said the delivery driver, John Michael Brown, was being investigated by the task force between November 23rd and December 10th.
According officers, undercover investigators bought meth from Brown six times during that timeframe, purchasing a total of 62.6 grams of meth. The undercover purchases were made with $3,140 of Lincoln-Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force funds. The task force said they also purchased Oxycodone pills from Brown.
Officers said they made contact with Brown at a Lincoln Super 8 motel at 6 p.m. LPD said officers found 7.3 grams of meth, four alprazolam pills, 6.9 grams of marijuana, a scale and a pipe on Brown.
Brown was arrested on four counts of possession with intent to deliver a hazardous drug, two counts of possession of meth with intent to deliver and deliver or manufacture with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Investigators involved in the arrest finished Brown's pizza delivery, bringing it to a customer staying at the hotel.
