CHADRON -  Last but not least worked out well during the Ranch Rodeo and Bronc Match at the Dawes County Fair on Tuesday night. The last of the 12 four-person teams during the ranch rodeo won that event and the last of the 15 bronc riders also was the winner of that event.

First place in the team competition went to Slash A, made up of Brogan Arendt and Chance Barnes of Chadron,  Steve Fay of Cody, and Dakota Sage of Valentine.  They completed tying their three steers in 3 minutes and 16.97 seconds.

Second place went to JDS Livestock from Minatare in 2:31.25, thirrd place was Sheridan Livestock from Gordon in 4:08.06, and fourth was Silver Spur in 4:08.06.

The bronc riding winner was Joe House, believed to be from Colorado, as he scored 80 points on the final bronc out of the chute.

There was tie for second between Jack Steed and Tristen Wood with 79 points. Kaden Vincent, a recent graduate of Gordon-Rushville High School, was fourth with 78 points.
