(Peru, Neb) – First-year running backs coach/graduate assistant Colton Audsley was tasked with recruiting the state of Louisiana. In his search, he came across a hidden gem down south in Carencro, La. That gem happened to be recent Bobcat signee Noah Fontenot.

Fontenot, a 6-2, 215 pound tight end finished his prep career at Teurlings Cathlolic High School in nearby Lafayette. He led the Rebels to the state playoffs and a first round win against a storied Parkview Baptist program. He finished with ten catches for 109 yards, and the winning score that night.

Following his senior season, he received First Team All-Acadiana Football honors and Second Team All-District honors as well. The honors did not stop there as he was selected to the I-10 All-Star Game, a bowl game held for the top seniors in Louisiana.

Noah is the son of Chad and Amy Fontenot and will major in kinesiology.
