Becton, Dickinson to produce more syringes for vaccine efforts

BD said the partnership will expand its operations in Nebraska in order to manufacture more syringes and needles for vaccination efforts.

Medical tech company Becton, Dickinson and Company has announced a partnership with the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, which is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

In a news release Wednesday, BD said the partnership will expand its operations in Nebraska in order to manufacture more syringes and needles for the U.S. government for current and future vaccination efforts.

The company also said it's committing to a pandemic order to make 50 million syringes and needles by the end of December 2020.

BD has facilities in Columbus, Broken Bow and Holdrege.
