Omaha bank robbery ends with one woman in custody

A Woman suspected of robbing an Omaha bank is now in police custody.

OMAHA - A Woman suspected of robbing an Omaha bank is now in police custody.

According to a news release, 35-year-old Taita McKnight was arrested for an early evening robbery at the Metro Credit Union on Ames Avenue.

A witness told police a woman entered the bank just before 5 PM Thursday and demanded money, then fled after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash leaving on foot.

The news release says police found the suspect in the area of 48th and Meredith Avenue, McKnight was booked for robbery.
