The Target at 72nd and Dodge is working to re-open. All this is the aftermath of a Friday night protest that started peacefully but turned ugly. Police fighting back with tear gas and pepper balls. Some arrests were made, just how many is still not clear.

The Omaha protest, one of many across the country following this week’s death of 46-year-old George Floyd, a black man held down by a white Minneapolis police officer as Floyd pleaded for his life.

The fall-out from Omaha’s protest the subject of a news conference later today with Omaha’s mayor and police chief.
