Bishop Neumann grad, Husker quarterback Noah Vedral set to transfer
Junior reserve quarterback Noah Vedral, a Bishop Neumann graduate, is the 12th scholarship player to leave the program this offseason.

LINCOLN - The Nebraska football team is losing another player with eligibility remaining.
Junior reserve quarterback Noah Vedral, a Bishop Neumann graduate, is the 12th scholarship player to leave the program this offseason. He entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal Tuesday afternoon. That means he will play his final two season at a different school and will be eligible immediately.
An athletic department spokesman confirmed Vedral's decision.
Vedral, who is scheduled to graduate in May with a near 4.0 GPA, spent the last two seasons as Adrian Martinez's backup, following Head Coach Scott Frost to Nebraska from Central Florida in December 2017.
Vedral started against Minnesota and Indiana last season. The native of Wahoo, Nebraska, also appeared in four other games and finished 34-of-52 passing for 418 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. He rushed for 106 yards and three TDs and led the game-winning drive in a 13-10 victory over Northwestern.
He will be a junior in the fall.
The Huskers have three quarterbacks on scholarship: Martinez, Luke McCaffrey and true freshman Logan Smothers. Martinez, who has started 21 career games, is expected to be the starter heading into fall camp.
