One Dead After Accident Near Kenesaw Sunday

One person is dead after a single-vehicle accident near Kenesaw on Sunday afternoon.

KENESAW - One person is dead after a single-vehicle accident near Kenesaw on Sunday afternoon.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office says a vehicle was driving westbound on Highway 6 when the driver lost control and rolled into a ditch. The accident occurred around 1:15 PM, and the Nebraska State Patrol responded along with deputies from the Adams County Sheriff's Office.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and was later identified as 19-year-old David Hasse of Minden. The Sheriff's Office says icy roads and speed were contributing factors in the accident, and they also say the driver wasn't wearing a seat belt.

Next of kin has been notified.
