CEDAR RAPIDS - The No. 3 Red Oak volleyball team held No. 6 Nevada to just 0.34% hitting and forced 24 errors in a 26-25, 25-15, 25-19 (3-0) sweep of the Cubs Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the Class 3A State Tournament.

Sophomore Lexi Johnson ended the match with 10 kills, 17 digs and three blocks. She hit .474. Sophie Walker led the Tigers with 14 kills. She added 14 digs. Setters Ellie Rengstorf, Abbey Jones and Chloe DeVries finished with 12, 11 and 10 assists respectively.

The Tigers (34-6) advance to the semifinals and will play No. 2 Kuemper Catholic at 2 p.m. Thursday at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids. The Knights defeated Red Oak on Sept. 5, 3-2.
