Lourdes earns Senior Night victory over Weeping Water

The Lourdes Central Catholic defense forced five turnovers and the Knights defeated Weeping Water, 52-22, in Nebraska City Thursday.

NEBRASKA CITY - The Lourdes Central Catholic defense forced five turnovers - including four interceptions and a fumble recovery - and the Knights defeated Weeping Water, 52-22, in Nebraska City Thursday. 

Quarterback Blake Miller was perfect throwing the football. He finished 7-7 for 218 yards and ran for 134 more yards. Aiden Aldana had 10 carries for 99 yards.

Indians quarterback Hunter Mortimer was 5-10 passing for 51 yards and had 22 carries for 99 yards. Nolan Blevins led the team on the ground with 19 carries for 102 yards.

Both Lourdes and Weeping Water are 4-4 this season and will learn their postseason fates when brackets are released by the Nebraska School Activities Association on Saturday.
