Central Nebraska Average Wage Report; May 2019

A report released by the State of Nebraska shows hourly earnings in the northeast Nebraska area are behind the national average.

NEBRASKA - A report released by the State of Nebraska shows hourly earnings in the northeast Nebraska area are behind the national average.



In the report published in May of this year by the State of Nebraska Office of Labor Market Information, shows the state wide average wage is $22.46.



According to preliminary data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, that's more than five dollars behind the national average of $27.84.

 

In Grand Island, the average wage is reported at $20.74. Kearney is reported at $20.42.
