Warner Music NashvilleMorgan Evans made a quick trip home this week to raise money for a good cause, and got an extra surprise: His latest hit, “Day Drunk,” is now double platinum Down Under.

“Played a show in my hometown last night,” he shared on Instagram on Wednesday. “We raised over 20k for the children’s hospital and the label surprised me with this... ‘Day Drunk’ is officially double platinum in Australia!!!”

The Aussie native posed with his double platinum plaque in the attached photo.

“Thanks to everyone that made the night possible,” he added. “It’s back to the U.S. for now, but it’s always awesome to come home, even for 48 hours. See you in October Australia!”

Half of the Australian dates on Morgan’s World Tour have already sold out.

“Day Drunk” is currently climbing the country chart in the U.S., but it’s already topped both the pop and country charts Down Under.
