After Tuesday night's primary election, Madison County has a new sheriff.
As it turns out, Todd Volk is the man for the job.
Volk won the position by getting 42% of the vote, while the next closest, and son of current Madison County Sheriff, Christian Hjorth received 32%.
Volk has worked for the Sheriff's department since 1994 and received national attention a few years back for jumping onto a moving semi-truck to aid the driver in stopping it.
Volk will be taking over for current and long time Madison County Sheriff Vern Hjorth, who decided to retire after serving in law enforcement since 1982.
Volk visited the News Channel Nebraska Studio Wednesday and talk to our Alex Stewart about winning, watch the video above.
