Semi accident closes Highway 275 near Pilger for almost an hour

PILGER - An accident involving two semis shut down a highway and prompted hazmat response.
It happened just before three p-m Wednesday at the intersection of highways 275 and 15 near Pilger.
Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says a semi pulled out into the path of another semi hauling fertilizer…completely blocking the intersection.
Sheriff Unger says liquid fertilizer leaked from the second vehicle…prompting the response from the local hazmat team.
No one was hospitalized…but the highway was completely shut down for about 45 minutes while rescue workers tried to clear the scene.
