HASTINGS, Neb. — KHAS Radio has earned the top spot in Adams County, ranking #1 overall in the most recent ratings.
The station broadcasts on 1230 AM/104.1 FM from its studio in Hastings and serves listeners across Adams County by delivering local news, conversation, and community-focused programming.
KHAS Radio’s success is powered by its strong commitment to local content, including its morning program, “Partyline with Brandon J. McDermott,” which connects daily with listeners across the community.
“We are thrilled about receiving this #1 rating, but it's more than just an award,” General Manager Sherry Foster said. “This belongs to every person and every KHAS Radio listener who believes in the power of local radio and community!”
Foster said the recognition reflects the station’s mission of serving Hastings and the surrounding area.
“The KHAS Radio Team is proof that when we come together with compassion and purpose, we can create change that lasts far beyond ourselves,” Foster said. “KHAS Radio is here to serve our community!"
McDermott, who is the operations manager and program director, said the milestone reflects the station’s growing connection with listeners both on the air and online.
“Hitting number one in Adams County is incredibly meaningful. It shows that the work we’re doing on the air, on social media, and out in the community is resonating with people,” McDermott said. “We’ve grown our social media to more than 11,000 followers in less than three years, we’ve won statewide awards, and we’ve created events like our annual rooftop food drive. But the most important thing is that people here trust us and listen. Local radio is alive and well in Hastings, and we’re proud to be part of it.”
KHAS Radio continues to expand its presence throughout Hastings and Adams County through community partnerships, local events, and programming focused on issues that matter most to area residents.
