Driver life-flighted following rollover accident on HW-71

The Banner County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a single vehicle rollover at mile marker 29 on Highway 71 Monday morning.

BANNER COUNTY -- The Banner County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a single vehicle rollover at mile marker 29 on Highway 71 Monday morning.

According to the sheriff's office, upon arrival, a silver car was on its top with the occupant trapped inside. Banner County Volunteer Fire & Rescue arrived and began the prolonged extrication process.

The driver was then loaded onto AirLink and transported to Regional West Medical Center, authorities stated.

Other departments who assisted at the scene were Kimball County Sheriff's Office, Kimball Ambulance, Regional Ambulance, NDOT, Gering Communications, Kimball Sheriff Dispatch, and Nebraska State Patrol, and other personnel who assisted the driver.
