COLUMBUS, Neb. — Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce President Dawson Brunswick has announced his campaign to fill the District 22 State Senator seat, which will soon be vacant. Brunswick enters the race with endorsements from key figures, including Governor Jim Pillen and outgoing State Senator Mike Moser.

Brunswick emphasized his motivation for running, stating, "My campaign in choosing to run stems from kids, careers, and running government like a business. I have two young daughters at home, and I want them, along with every child growing up in Nebraska, to have the same opportunities I did." He pledged to be a strong, conservative voice for the district.

Governor Pillen lauded Brunswick's understanding of Nebraska's strengths, saying, "Dawson understands what makes Nebraska strong — families, hard work, and common-sense leadership. He has demonstrated through his business and community leadership that he knows how to create opportunity, grow jobs, and demand accountability."

Senator Moser echoed this sentiment, praising Brunswick's dedication to the community and his ability to unite people to solve problems.

Currently running unopposed, Brunswick has committed to maintaining a clear division between his public service as a state senator and his responsibilities as president of the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce if elected.
