NORFOLK, Neb. — An afternoon brush fire at a Norfolk solar farm is under investigation.

The Norfolk Fire Division says crews were called around noon to reports of a fire along the edge of the state's largest solar farm, which is on the west edge of town.

Officials say about one acre of brush burned. No injuries were reported and there were no reports of any power outages.

Fire Chief Tim Wragge says firefighters on scene noticed wiring in the area where the fire started. Wragge says Nebraska Public Power District is investigating the cause.
