ALBION - Norfolk Catholic's Gavin Schutt earned his 1000th career point as the Knights and Cedar Catholic earned a trip to the Midstate Conference Tournament championship game on Saturday.

Norfolk Catholic tore off the first 13 points of the game before Wayne an 8-0 run to cut the deficit to 5 after one quarter. From there it was all Knights, as four of their players finished in double figures -- Schutt (17), Callen Marshall (13), Leighton Burbach (12) and Brayden Kosch (10). Norfolk Catholic won going away 67-31.

Cedar Catholic had a much tougher row to hoe, as they held off Crofton 39-35. The two teams battled back and forth down the final minute, with Mason Baller pouring in 19 points to lead all scorers. Preston Foxhoven chipped in 11 in a losing cause. But it was two big buckets from Micah Cattau down the stretch that sealed the deal for the Trojans.
