NEWMAN GROVE, Neb. — The first principal of Lindsay Academy is moving on after just over a year on the job. Newman Grove Public Schools announced Thursday that Tyler Beranek has been chosen as their next superintendent.

Beranek began as Lindsay Academy’s inaugural principal in February 2024 and has previously taught at schools in Columbus, Seward, and Norfolk. He succeeds Josh Warren, who stepped down to become superintendent at Cross County Public Schools in Stromsburg.

At the same time, Lindsay Academy announced its own leadership change. Mrs. Hollatz has been named the school’s new principal and superintendent starting with the 2026-27 school year.

According to the school, Hollatz has demonstrated “strong leadership, a deep commitment to students, and a dedication to supporting staff and families,” and the promotion provides “stability and continuity” for the school community.

Both schools congratulated their new leadership on social media.
