LINCOLN, Neb. — The Nebraska Republican Party confirmed several leadership appointments within the party’s executive committee during its State Central Committee meeting in Kearney last week.

The State Central Committee elected Greg Epp, chairman of the Hamilton County Republican Party, as treasurer of the Nebraska Republican Party. Epp succeeds David Plond, who previously served in the role and was formally recognized for his service and contributions to the party.

The committee also confirmed Rick Benson as assistant chairman of the Nebraska Republican Party. Benson has served in local party leadership, including as secretary of the Madison County Republican Party, and has been active in grassroots Republican organizing in northeast Nebraska.

Additional leadership actions included the election of Dave Brodahl of Saunders County as Congressional District 2 member-at-large by the CD2 caucus. Pam Swenson of Cass County was appointed secretary of the Nebraska Republican Party, and Toni Hoefler of Madison County was appointed assistant secretary.

Party leaders said the appointments fill key executive roles as the Nebraska Republican Party prepares for upcoming election cycles.
