AXTELL, Neb. — Authorities are investigating after a pickup truck was used to rip an ATM from its foundation early Sunday morning in Kearney County.

The Kearney County Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened around 3:45 a.m. in Axtell. Deputies arrived to find the truck abandoned at the scene and no suspects present.

Investigators are now asking for the public’s help. Anyone with security or surveillance cameras in the area is encouraged to review their footage and contact law enforcement if they captured anything suspicious.

First Bank and Trust Company says on social media that the damaged ATM was already scheduled to be replaced. Because of that, the bank expects the delay in service to be shorter than it otherwise would have been while a new machine is installed.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
