Multiple vehicles damaged in crash at Kearney Walgreens

Emergency crews responded quickly to a multi-vehicle crash in the Walgreens parking lot in Kearney Wednesday.

KEARNEY, Neb. - Emergency crews responded quickly to a multi-vehicle crash in the Walgreens parking lot on Wednesday.

The incident occurred just before 11:45 a.m. near the busy intersection of Second Avenue and 25th Street.

According to police an SUV driven by an elderly man initially struck one car, then rolled into several others after the driver reportedly hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes.

NCN observed at least five vehicles with visible damage at the scene.

One woman was treated in an ambulance at the scene for minor injuries but was not transported by EMS.

No other injuries were reported.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
