HARTINGTON - The Mid-State Conference Tournament saw the Crofton girls score the three-peat, while the Boone Central boys won their first title since 2014. Both teams overcame double-digit deficits with 2nd-half comeback wins, as the Lady Warriors downed GACC 58-48 and the Cardinals got past Wayne 58-56.

Sammie Allen poured in 22 for Crofton, and Cassie & Jaida Allen chipped in 10 apiece, as the Warriors battled back from trailing by 13 in the 3rd and won going away in the 4th. Izzy Kreikemeier paced the Lady Jays with 15, while Adyson Luebbert contributed 11.

The night of comebacks continued as Boone Central bounced back from a 12-point halftime Wayne lead to tie it with 3 minutes left, go ahead in the final minute and hold off a last-gasp attempt by the Blue Devils. Connor Christo topped all Cards with 21, while freshman Kaden Miller had another big night with 14, including the go-ahead bucket with 45 seconds left. Wayne's Colson Nelson led all scorers with 27 and surpassed 1,000 points for his career.
