GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — The Nebraska State Fair is making a change to its concert lineup.

The fair announced The Little River Band will perform instead of The Guess Who as the classic rock show on Tuesday, Aug. 27.

A news release says the fair is making the change because officials weren't sure The Guess Who would be able to fulfill its commitment. The concert will be indoors at the Heartland Event Center.

“The Little River Band offers a classic rock option to the Nebraska Lottery Concert Series, Nebraska State Fair executive director Jaime Parr said. “We know from last year’s Three Dog Night concert that our Tuesday attendance saw a nice increase and we expect to see the same this year. We invite fairgoers to take in the Gatlin Brothers/Lorrie Morgan concert on Monday and stay overnight for The Little River Band on $3 Tuesday.”

The Little River Band has performed for nearly 50 years and boasts 16 Hot 100 hits. The band’s most popular songs include “Reminiscing,” “Cool Change,” “Lonesome Loser” and “Happy Anniversary.”

Tickets to see The Little River Band in concert will remain the same as previously announced. Simply present your ticket and you’ll be seated in the same ticket location. All tickets are reserved seats on a first come-first serve basis and include gate admission. Tickets can be purchased online at StateFair.org or at the Nebraska State Fair Box Office. Reserved seats range from $25 to $50 for Tom Dinsdale Automotive VIP seats, plus fees.
