LINCOLN, Neb. — The Wahoo boys basketball team held Ogallala 14 points below its season-low to win 50-36 in the state quarterfinals.

The #4 Indians had scored at least 50 points in every game this season but were stifled by the #5 Warriors defense immediately. Wahoo led 8-5 after the first quarter and extended their lead to 12 points at halftime. Ogallala made a push in the third quarter but Wahoo put them away at the free throw line in the fourth quarter.

The win breaks a streak of three-straight quarterfinals losses over the past four seasons for Wahoo. The Warriors are in the semifinals for the first time since 2019 and will match up against #1 Omaha Concordia. That game will tip off at 9:00 Friday morning and will be televised on News Channel Nebraska.
