HASTINGS Neb. – Junior Parker Ablott led the Hastings Tigers with 17 points, who helped them beat Minden 56-49 on Senior Day at Hastings High.

Minden came out strong with two three-pointers by Luke Grollmes and Kade Dorszynski back-to-back to jump out to a 6-0 lead.

Hastings' Parker Ablott responded with a three of his own, and the Tigers went on a 14-point run during the end of the 1st and start of the 2nd quarter to lead 19-10.

Minden fought back scoring 19 points in the 2nd quarter to lead 29-25 at halftime.

After a 2-point lead for Minden going into the 4th quarter (37-35) The Hastings offense erupted for 21 4th quarter points, including 14 2nd half points from Junior Tucker Synek, to take the lead and win by seven.

NEXT: Minden (8-12) will play Holdrege, and Hastings (9-12) will play Northwest in subdistricts on Tuesday
