WYNOT - The Wausa Lady Vikings kept their season alive Monday night in the D2-6 Subdistrict play-in game with a 37-28 victory over Winside.

Sienna West led the Vikes with 12 points while Taylor Dawson contributed 10 and swiped 5 steals. The Wildcats' Ellie Topp topped all scorers with 17.

Wausa jumped out to a 7-0 lead as their full-court press forced half a dozen early turnovers. But Winside battled back early in the 2nd to knot it at 13. Then the Vikings turned up the heat again, led 20-15 at the break, then pulled away late in the 4th for good.

Winside's seaons ends at 1-17, while Wausa (5-16) moves on tonight to face top-seeded Wynot in the subdistrict semis.
