“Our Community Grants program represents a long-term investment in our community,” said Dan Peters, Executive Director of the Hastings Community Foundation. “We like to identify opportunities where our funding can help a nonprofit become more efficient or help them implement innovative solutions to community issues.”

The Community Grants program is funded by an endowment at the Hastings Community Foundation. The program began in 1994 with two nonprofits being awarded $1,000 each. With the 2024 allocations, the Community Grants program has now awarded more than $1.3 million since its conception.

“The Hastings Community Foundation is proud of the incredible work being done by all members of our nonprofit community,” said Peters. “Our Community Grants Program is one way we support them. Endowed funds, workshops to address nonprofit needs, and Give Hastings Day are a few of the other tools we have available to support the nonprofit organizations across Hastings and Adams County.”

In 2023, the Hastings Community Foundation facilitated the distribution of $2.7 million to the nonprofit community through grants, scholarships and other support. For more information, including a full list of grant recipients, visit hastingscommunityfoundation.org.
