LEXINGTON, Neb. — Winter weather conditions have claimed a life in Central Nebraska.

The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office says 46-year-old Miguel Zamudio-Ceballos of Lexington died at the scene of a car crash. It happened just before 9:30 Monday morning on Highway 30 about four miles east of Lexington. According to a news release, Zamudio-Ceballos lost control of his sedan and collided with a pickup driven by a Kearney man. Zamudio-Ceballos died at the scene and an ambulance transported the Kearney man to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office says weather and road conditions were factors in the crash. Dawson County was in a Blizzard Warning at the time of the accident.
