Man repeatedly punched, bit his girlfriend, GI Police say

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — A man is facing false imprisonment and assault charges after Grand Island Police say he repeatedly punched a woman, bit her and wouldn't let her leave his car.
A news release says officers responded to a house in north Grand Island just before midnight on Sunday. A woman told police that her boyfriend, Jared Reha, punched her in the face 15 times. Then, she says he forced her into the back seat of his vehicle and wouldn’t let her leave for more than 10 minutes. According to the release, Reha continued to hit her and bit her arms while holding her down in the car. Officers say her cheek was heavily swollen and she had teeth impressions in her skin.
Officers arrested Reha for first-degree false imprisonment and third-degree domestic assault.
