The people are giving back; and this is the one day that they are in the limelight and collect money for their whole year’s budget some of them,” Maloley said. "This is the one day that they get to."
Youth and Family Services Librarian Rocio Casanova said Friends of the Library are fundraising to complete the landscape renovation that they started in the spring.
The money will help renew and beautify the east side of the building with new plants and trees.
“It will be for the good of the community. It will be for the good of Lexington, for our kids and other generations to come,” said Casanova.
Keep Lexington Beautiful Executive Director Elvie Montes said they fundraised to get some recycling trailers so that people are able to recycle.
