GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- The Hall County Board of Commissioners will be keeping the community up to date regarding the courthouse expansion project.

At Tuesday’s meeting, Commissioner Pamela Lancaster brought proposed creating a social media page about the project so the community will be informed and can easily find information.

The board approved the motion with a 7-0 vote.

Davis Design architects gave an update on the project, which is projected to cost $35-40 million. The latest design shows an increase in square footage to a total of 42,400 square feet. It includes a lower level plus three floors.

The board didn’t take any action because the judges haven’t been able to look over the new updates.
