NSP arrests motorcycle rider after Hall County pursuit

A man from Alda is in jail after deputies and police officers had a pursuit with him in Hall County.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- A man from Alda is in jail after deputies and police officers had a pursuit with him in Hall County. 

According to the Nebraska State Patrol, Sunday around 10:15 p.m. a trooper observed a motorcycle traveling 100 mph on Interstate 80, near Shelton. 

The trooper attempted a traffic stop near mile marker 291, but the rider refused to yield and accelerated, initiating a pursuit. 

The NSP said the rider has been identified as 38 year-old Kade Coble of Alda, turned eastbound onto Highway 30 and continued fleeing at a high rate of speed.

Coble reportedly reached the western side of Grand Island and laid the motorcycle down in a ditch near West Park Plaza and fled on foot.

Coble was located hiding under a porch and was arrested. He has been lodged in Hall County jail and charged with flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, driving under revocation, obstructing a peace officer, numerous traffic violations and multiple outstanding warrants.
